I was part of a small group that started the Salty Spoke bike cooperative in Sitka in 2018. We are working to build a more inclusive bicycling community in Sitka and do so by offering youth and adult educational programs, a membership program with a tool library, and by refurbishing old bikes for resale and donation.
Since then, we have been able to grow the coop from a few folks tinkering in a tiny closet to a fully functioning program with a downtown location. Check out the Salty Spoke on instagram to learn more!
