Outer Coast Website Development

I worked with the team at Outer Coast, an academic institution creating an alternative postsecondary experience in Sitka, to design and develop a new website. Previously, I had managed Outer Coast’s old site, which was a Jekyll site built using GitHub. The old site required knowledge of code to edit, so as the institution grew it came time to create a new site using a more user-friendly CMS. 

The goal with the new site was to really highlight the student experience, the beauty of Sitka, and the stories that make Outer Coast unique. Wordpress allowed us plenty of flexibility to customize the site’s design and nest different layers of programs in interesting ways.
